My 8 year old Sony Digital camcorder died. Things were simple in those days. Capture the DV, edit the AVI file, render to MPEG2. The HD camcorder I now have records in MP4 format. Can I edit this file as is? Or, is it best to convert to AVI? I am using Vegas Movie Studio.
