  1. I am trying to record hockey games from NHL.com Gamecenter. I have access to all the games and i want to be able to create YouTube videos for some plays. I've downloaded several programs and tried them always with the same result they download the game into 1-2 second segments instead of one file. Is there a program that will actually record the entire game in one file, or is it something i am doing wrong?

I am not very smart when it comes to computers but I can do all basic stuff, so if its something complicated please explain thoroughly

maybe they join the clips before editing ?

maybe they use better capture/downloading software? what have you tried so far ?

I have tried to join the clips but they turn out very bad ive also tried several programs to join the clips with little success.

  6. Most professional sport broadcast events are copyrighted so beware. Even rebroadcasting clips could get you in big trouble.

@ Bears12, i just downloaded three vids from them with no problem, well, i went to my browser's cache to get it. i've found that most of these streaming videos are put there as they play in real time. these videos are in .mp4 format, though some are in .swf format. those seem to be their lame version of commercials.

i have firefox on my other computer but don't feel it necessary to install it on this one for instance. i prefer to just keep opera on this one because i don't like the latest one's they've been posting. there lates is v11 i think. i am still using v9.24 because i like the icone tabs and other features that opera seem to have removed or moved to some obscure place that i can't be bother with.

tip: well, ain't much of it, or maybe is.. but try and find your browser's "cache" and then copy it as a shortcut to your desktop. that is what i do-for now, because i am working on creating a small utility snooper of my own that will hopefully "snif" out the swf / flv / mpeg / mp4 videos that stream when i open them in under Opera. so far, all my searches for the opera caches are under name cache4. so look for that, then make it a shortcut to your desktop.

i know, the method i am currently using is lame, but it works for me until i create something a little more flexible perhaps. i know there are plenty of utilities out there--even better--but i like creating my own, if just for challenge sake.
