I recently wanted to convert a mpg file to VOB. Since I don't have Toast or a similar program, I Demuxed the mpg to video and audio (Tools-Demux) and then took video and audio to remux in a Video_TS folder (Tools-Mux). The outcome worked OK, but in the remux progress, I noticed ffmpegX rejoined the 2 separate files to a new (temporary) mpg file and then created the Video_TS folder.

What I would like, is to see what commands are run by the relevant script (possibly mux.scpt) so I could go directly from my original mpg to Video_TS and save the extra Demux/Mux steps. But the scpt files have their content somewhat scrambled.

I could also run the relevant ffmpegX.app sub-tool from the command line, but which one and using which parameters?

    Thank you

Instead of using the Mux tool, you may use the Author tool, which will take muxed MPG files and create a VIDEO_TS folder from that.
