Hi,
I have a program that captures videos streams in asf formats. The files play fine without any issues.
When I try to convert the asf file to any other format (to play on ipod, iphone, psp), I get audio sync problem.
I tried many video converters (super, DVDfab, handbreak, MS movie maker ) and the result is always the same.
Is there a simple way of making the audio sync when converting this file? Do I need to extract the audio first and then add it to the video? Again, this issue happens only when I convert the file. Maybe I need to change some settings when I convert the file?
Thanks

You could try use asfbin, open the asf and just click cut/copy/join to make a new asf. Then try convert it with latest Xmedia Recode or the apps that you already are using.

Baldrick you are the man....(-:
Xmedia Recode did the trick and I'm not sure why.
The asf files I have been cut before using asfbin. So I did 2 tests. One with the file as is and the second with creating a new asf file from asfbin. Both results (ipod, psp formats) came back with no audio sync what so ever.
Not sure why all the other convertors I used created a AV sync issue.
Thanks again. I will use that tool from now on with asf files.

Evidently, the developers of XMediaRecode read VideoHelp on a daily basis

Thank you El Heggunte. You gave me some good suggestion in the other thread but that was going to be too much work.
This tool (that I never heard off before) made life easier for me. Just one clikc and the file comes out fine with no audio sync issues. The kids are happy that they can watch this on their ipod and I'm happy that I don't have to do much work....
Cheers
