  1. Hi all

I'm trying to put a couple of my blu-rays onto my computer to playback on my Boxee Box but can't seem to get the audio right.

I've ripped the movie using AnyDVD and then to get the size down am using Xilisoft Video Converter Ultimate 6 to reencode using their HD H.264 video preset.

Video looks great but the audio just comes through as 2 channel even though i've selected 6 channel audio in the dropdown box and set 5.1 MPEG-4 AAC in the output (which seems to be the only option).

Hope someone out there can help me 'cos it's driving me nuts.

    Cheers

Try Ripbot264 or BD Rebuilder(yes it can convert to mp4/mkv) and you can try keep the 5.1 audio as it as.

  3. Great, thanks.

Just trying Ripbot264 right now, seems to recognize the source video & audio perfectly. Just waiting to do the output.

  4. Wow, thanks for the heads up! The results were tremendous! Picture quality is superb and I now have 5.1 sound!

Time to upgrade the CPU and MB though I think, it took 5 hours for a 100 minute movie

    Cheers!

    Really? WOW! that's immense.

That's with a Quad Core 2.4. I've been pricing up an i7 to maybe speed things up a bit.
