I have an ATI AIW 128 PCI card and have made the adjustments for capturing in realtime VCD quality using the MMC Reg tool. The capturing is great. I wanted to make an SVCD template using the same method so I changed the setting that would match attribs. of an SVCD and used the reg tool again. When I go back to capture using the newly created SVCD template it immediatley pops up with the error message "this program has preformed an illegal function" after I hit the record button. I also try their high res. preformated templates but still get the same problem. I uninstalled MMC and reinstalled it but still get the same problem. I also tried capturing without using the MMC reg tool to make the temlate standard. My hardware is fast enough. I have an Athlon 1.1GHz, 512MB RAM, and A 40GB ATA100 hard drive.

There are two ways to make SVCD on a ALL IN WONDEr one capture MPEG 1 rencode to MPEG2 to SVCd with TMPG. Or capture to mpeg 2 by
480*480 SVCD is 2000000 and can go as high as 2600000 there is a reg tool on this site at the tool link to edit AIW card's when you make the SVCD mpeg 2 capture you have to run it in to TMPG to fix but lot of people have lip SYNC problems even with MMC 7.1 you can go http://www.pcphotovideo.com/
http://www.pcphotovideo.com/favorite.htm
then get PVAStrumento 2.0.14 this might help with older MMC's
you can get MMC 7.6 from
ftp://212.51.217.162/temp/Shrink/Mmc76_by_T2k!.rar
ftp://211.51.47.252/upped/By/Shrink/Mmc76_by_T2k!.rar
and you can just edit it with MPEG2VCR and it works fine
