    How come unlike most of my other media programs every time I run V2M(PRO) I get the pesky UAC prompt? I'm running in Admin mode. I'm trying to integrate this into a bigger application and really need it to be quiet in the background. I don't think it would acceptable to ask users to turn off UAC for their entire machine just for one application.

    it's not open source, chrissyboy owns it and i don't think he's going to be happy with you stealing it and incorporating it into another program. unless of course you have paid him for the rights to use it???

    errr... uhhhmm.... Why would you think I'm stealing anything? First of all the command line version is something one pays for. Second of all why would you not think that I have not already had discussions with Chris about what I'm doing? Third of all if one were going to steal something then why would you be poking around the official support forum for that product? With this general question you would ask it somewhere else. Please troll someone else.

    just seemed a strange question not to ask him directly, if you had been in touch with him. his email address is not hard to find.

    Why don't you just concat the VOBs together using the copy command? IIRC, thats all VOB2MPG does. I might be wrong on that though.

    copy /b VTS_01_1.VOB + VTS_01_2.VOB + VTS_01_3.VOB outputfile.mpg

    @puss

    He is a busy man. The reason he uses this forum is so that other users can help out too. I would much prefer to have him spending time building new and wonderful tools than answering questions that hopefully others might know the answers.

    All is good in the hood. I am aware of what Wakewatcher is trying to do.

    To answer the original question - a version which doesn't require UAC is possible. We can discuss that.

    No offense intended. Just trying to offer alternatives.
