  1. hey, i encoded with tmpgenc then it was ready for nero, i put it on to burn the cd as a vcd, and it was an imation cdr, and it was an 80 minute cd, i used 720 mb's and about 71.5 minutes, it copied, and then when i went to put it in my dvd player hooked up to my tv, it didn't work, and i checked and my dvd player is compatible, with cdr's and cdrw's, does anyone know what i'm doing wrong...

  3. What kind of DVD player do you have? What format did you encode to? What type (brand and color) of Cdr did you use?

Did you use the pre-set VCD settings?

Umm, unless you overburnt, it is impossible to fit 720megs onto one CD.

  11. Hey Man, give a little time... You arent waiting long enough, you wait 5 minutes and start complaining noone is responding...

Some DVD players dont support all forms of CDR and CDRW...

Try some diffrent brands, and see if those work... Also, I have heard from some that this kind of problem may be fixed if you burn the cd slower...

Also, is it a VCD compatible file? Has the stream been vcd encoded? Even if it is a mpeg with the vcd specs you will need to multiplex it as a vcd mpeg-1 using TMPGENC...

    Good Luck!

  12. I just posted in the newbie's forum with the same problem:

so I've encoded and split the movie I'm trying to burn. I check it on WinDVD and it plays fine. I then load it up onto Nero as an svcd and it seems to go through ok (nero does not prompt me to say that its an invalid svcd file). So, I proceed to burn the movie onto disc. Then try to play it on my dvd player (on my computer). It doesn't work at all. so what did I do wrong? In this webpage's authoring page for svcd's with nero, it doesn't have "cache disk and network files" or the "cache files smaller than" boxes checked off. Should they be? is this possibly the problem?

I'm using a cd-r by a company called "gigastorage corporation."

Thank you very much in advance for any help you may provide
