Hi Everyone,
This is my first post so please be kind. As the title says - I'm looking for a way to display multiple camera feeds to one monitor. Let me explain my situation. I'm a middle school computer teacher. A few years ago I saved a former video editing cart from the dumpster and had the idea to convert the cart into a tv production cart on wheels. With no budget provided by the school, and most of the equipment being purchased out of my own pocket I pieced together a cart that allows us to do a live-to-dvd weekly school broadcast.
Current Equipment:
Trust me when I say it has been hacked together, but it works!
- We use an Edirol V-4 video mixer for the camera to camera switching.
- We have a Behringer 1202 soundboard to run the microphone audio from our VocoPro UHF-8800 8 channel microphone system.
- For graphics we are using a HP DC5700 running Adobe Visual Communicator 3.
- To pipe our video feeds to the necessary displays we have 4 video distribution amps to make sure our video mixer and preview monitors receive all the necessary video feeds.
Where I Need Your Help:
Recently an idea came to mind about taking our preview monitors and combining them into one display to show all of our camera inputs. For the life of me I can't find a solution that is affordable. Can anyone help point me in the right direction? I would prefer NOT to go the route of a computer with a set of video capture cards if at all possible!
Two Attached Images:
The first image is an example of what I would like to do.
The second is just a humbling picture to show you what I really mean by production cart on wheels. Just imagine a TON MORE wires, an video mixer, and a soundboard on the cart picture.
Your help is GREATLY appreciated in advance!
Rich
