Is anyone aware of a current camcorder model that features analog to digital "passthrough". This feature was available on many older mini dv recorders. I am looking for a new camcorder that uses solid state memory and sd cards but still has this feature.
Thanks
Chuck

I believe the Canon HV40 still has an 'AV in' analogue input, but that's about it for current models-
and as that model is a tape camera, it doesn't really meet your solid state requirements!
I think the days of camera 'pass through' are virtually over.
For analogue video capture, DVD recorders or Canopus converters for SD, and perhaps 'Blackmagic' cards for HD?
