    Hello everybody,
I need some advice on .mkv files handling. I have downloaded a movie that has the video part in .mkv format and a separate audio file for each language. Is there any free tool to put together video and audio files in a single .mkv output?
    Thank you!

mkvmerge/mkvtoolnix. If you did a search for mkv in the Tools section you would have found it

  3. Is there a step by step 'how to merge' please? Ive got a 5G video file with ac3 and dts audio files seperate. Ive read the 'help' through in mmg but it hasnt helped me as im new to this.

Ive tried many different variations then muxing but all i ever get on my KMplayer after merge is black, no video, no audio, it comes up with the 'total time' on the player but it never starts. I also get no errors when muxing. Do i have to select differnt things in "format specific options" tab!

Please point me in the right direction for answers if this isnt the right place, if its no trouble. Cheers :_)

  4. This is a snapshot of what i think i ought to do:

Rather than go through all that ive tried can someone please help me with the next step or inform me of where ive gone wrong? Ill be here still trying different things until i hear from you guys or just give up completely due to frustration :_( and theyr rising rapidly :_(

Cheers anyone with any ideas :_)

EDIT: Kmplayer has just done an update. Now it is working. Go figure. It could be now im trying the ac3 instead of dts. The prob i have is now when i jump along in the movie the audio is now out. Im gonna try and delay it now. Fingers crossed
