  1. I am having so much trouble. I have a three part mkv that I need to combine before I can even start thinking about converting. I am getting really frustrated because I tried mkvmerge gui or whaever you call it. It kept saying I couldnt put part 3 in to do its thing. When I tried with just pt. 1 and 2 it came out with Error 2 that the two files couldnt be joined because they were different. I am getting so damn frustrated. It seems like more and more files are coming in MKV and I'm starting to get behind because I dont know how to use the damn format. As always if someone could share with me something easy to use that would be much appreciated. Muchas Gracias in advance

  2. what's the extension .part1... or 003 if none then write .mkv at the end of the name if I isn't alread recognised as mkv , open the first part in avidemux then click file>append>select 2nd part the same for the 3rd part Make sure container format is mkv selected and video and audio are set to copy.

  8. Go into any folder and go tools or something and folder properties in the second tab go to hide show extensions for known file types tick and apply then exit, If it was cut with hjsplit then make sure the end of the filename is exactly in this order EXAMPLE: blahblahblah.mkv.001,part 2 will be blahblahblah.mkv.002, part3 is blahblahblah.mkv.003 then open hjsplit press join and you'll only see part one (001) select it and press join then it will save the output file in the same folder
