  1. Hi folks,

I'm trying to convert VOBs to MKVs. When I use the 'Copy Original' option for audio, everything works fine. But when I try to encode the audio using any of the codecs (Nero AAC, Lame, AC3), it gets stuck at the status "Encoding Audio with xxxx - First Normalizing Volume... wait". I though it might work if I removed the normalization option, so I opened 'Advanced Audio Options' and unchecked 'Normalize Audio' under 'Global Audio Options'. But the change didn't stick. When I reopened Advanced Audio Options, 'Normalize Audio' remained checked. I've included the log below. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

  2. May be some security programs block encoding? take a look...

  3. I've been having the same problem. It also occurs with the AVI container. AutoMKV will not encode audio at all and normalize checkbox resets. Running Win7 x64 SP1 and tried compatibility mode for XP, 98/ME, Vista, etc. and running as Admin. The only change is when running 98/ME mode I get an error that says the audio encoder crashed. I don't think Microsoft Security Essentials is interfering. Out of ideas

edit- Found in other threads with this problem they were pointed to a program by the same author called HDConvertToX and one by somebody else called RipBot. Still having trouble with HDConvertToX unfortunately though.
