I have a h264 MP4 file and a srt sub file. I Want to embed the srt into the mp4 so it is a selectable sub to watch on my PS3. I muxed them with YAMB and it works fine on my PC with VLC but the subs do not work on my PS3. I also see that aviaddxsubs now supports MP4 files but that just errors out saying filename.mp4 cannot be found. Is there another method available? I don't mind remuxing into a different container but I do not want to reencode and I do not want hard subs. Thanks.

The ps3 does not support switchable srt subs in mp4. I think you can make a m2ts with switchable use using multiavchd.

So I loaded my mp4 into multiavchd. The srt was auto detected. I chose "start". I chose Playstation3. It created an entire folder structure. I was just hoping for a single file with internal switchable subs. Where did I go wrong?
Edit.
I also chose the file mode section to create and avi but it is reencoding with that option.Last edited by marioval; 10th Jan 2011 at 08:29.
