  1. Hey guys, I dont know much about vegas although i generally understand how it works in terms of the theory; My problem is the rendering time; 1 video i editted/made of 15mins, took me a rendering time of 45mins~ and another video of 11mins, is taking a rendering time of 2 hour 40mins any idea why?, i dont think i touched with the rendering settings at all or even so the priority changed? (from tuneups?) even if it did, i changed it to high regardless when i noticed such a slow rendering time. and again, rendering it again with almost the same rendering time.. as for comp specs, its an i3 350-m 4gb ram 2.3 ghz oh forgot to include, using sony vegas 8.0b. (also if this topic is in the wrong section, i apologize)

  2. There could be many reasons, you need an apples to apples comparison

do you have background processes running concurrently? (e..g virus scan, surfing, playing games )

what kind of video? what format for import/ export? Some formats are much slower to decode or render for export. Some can be passed through (smart rendered) and is really fast

    hd vs. sd

what kind of editing? for example, what effects? some effects will slow down rendering considerably

    etc... etc...

Look for the differences between the projects.
