    Hi
this is not my first post on this topic

While when I have .iso files it is very easy for me to create a dvd through imgburn, I am not able to do it when I have 2 folders (one audio_TS empty and the other one Video_TS with files in different format, .ifo. vob etc)

what is the best sw to use ( I would like to create a dvd with chapters etc), alternative to imgburn or imgburn in an effective way?

    thanks/Fabio

    Imgburn.

Start Imgburn. Select Write Files/Folders to Disc. Click on the Browse for a Folder icon and select your Video_TS folder. Imgburn will know this is a DVD and set everything up accordingly. Now click Burn.

Note : Imgburn only burns. It does not do chapters or menus. For that you need an authoring tool. After authoring you will be back to having a video_ts folder, which you can then burn with Imgburn.

I don't understand your question. Perhaps you can rephrase in plain English, without abbreviations, and go into a little more detail about your problem. What does "sw" stand for, etc.

If you are not using the graphical interface - Ez-Mode Picker - select 'Build' from the mode menu.

Click on the little folder icon (third down) 'browse for a folder'. Select the 'Audio_TS' folder (optional) and the 'Video_TS' folder you which to burn - select OK after each select and then burn the disk.

    THANKS
CAN i USE IMGBURN BEFORE UNZIPPING THE FILE?

LET ME CLARIFY: i HAVE AN ISO FILE ZIPPED (.RAR); WHEN i UNZIP IT i HAVE THE 2 FOLDERS ABOVE ( AUDIO AND VIDEO_TS)

I WONDER IF I CAN BROWSE WITH IMGBURN (OPTION "WRITE IMAGE FILE TO DISC") DIRECTLY THE VIDEOFILE ZIPPED (IN ISO FORMAT)

    JUST A THOUGHT....
    THANKS

Yes, but you'll end up with a disk with a RAR file on it - probbaly not what you really want.

    1) Extract everything from the RAR file. Do you now have...

2A) a single file with type ISO - in IMGBURN use "Write Image File To Disk" & pick the ISO file

2B) a folder called VIDEO_TS (and maybe an AUDIO_TS, but not essential) - in IMGBURN use "Write File/Folders To Disk" and pick the VIDEO_TS folder

Once again someone posts and leaves out critical information and just assumes we can all read minds.

Zip and Rar are NOT the same thing.

Yes, you have to extract the file from the Rar archive first before burning. If you do not understand that, we cannot help you.

But there is even more confusion.

If your original file ends with .iso it is NOT an rar file it is an image file which CAN be burnt direct to a disk with imgburn.

You CAN extract the contents of an .iso file with a program like winrar but there is little point to doing that since it just adds more work when you simply want to burn the file(s) back to disk.
