    Hi everybody,
    I want to buy a laptop but the model which i've choosed is without 1394. So the question is can I use one of this convertors http://cgi.ebay.com/Firewire-IEEE-1394-6-Pin-F-USB-M-Adaptor-Convertor-/380303117185?p...item588bd50b81
    to connect the camera to the laptop?

    I'd wait for someone else to answer that might have tried one of those, but I doubt it would work or those adapters would be much more common. I don't think the computer will recognize the DV video over the adapter and you won't be able to do the transfer. Pixela of Japan has sold a true DV>USB converter, but it costs about $120US.
