Is there a faster way converting MOV to MPEG then using TMPGenc?
I tried to convert a 17 min. MOV-File to SVCD and it took more then 3 hours!?!
I`m using a 1.3 GHZ Athlon and the newest Version of TMPGenc.
And by the way: What`s about the Setting "Motion estimate search"? Is the quality OK when using this setting?

I don't know why it took you so long, sounds fishy to me, I got an Athlon 1ghz and it just took me realtime to convert the Spiderman Movie Clip to VCD.
Do you have the QTReader.VFP plugin for TMPGEnc ?Email me for faster replies!

Yes, i have the Plugin. I noticed that some Files are converted faster then others. AVI is faster then MOV. But this particular MOV-File ist this slow, and most time TMPGenc crashes when I trie to convert. Could that be because this MOV-File uses VP3-Compression?

It is possible, especialy if it's a newer format, what you can do is, use QuickTime Pro to export the movie into AVI and then encode it with TMPG.

I don`t have QTPro, but I used RADTools to convert the MOV-File to AVI. The I converted the AVI-File to MPEG using TMPGEnc and it took only 1 hour.
Thanx Sefy!
