  1. Is there a faster way converting MOV to MPEG then using TMPGenc?
I tried to convert a 17 min. MOV-File to SVCD and it took more then 3 hours!?!
I`m using a 1.3 GHZ Athlon and the newest Version of TMPGenc.
And by the way: What`s about the Setting "Motion estimate search"? Is the quality OK when using this setting?

  2. I don't know why it took you so long, sounds fishy to me, I got an Athlon 1ghz and it just took me realtime to convert the Spiderman Movie Clip to VCD.

Do you have the QTReader.VFP plugin for TMPGEnc ?

  3. Yes, i have the Plugin. I noticed that some Files are converted faster then others. AVI is faster then MOV. But this particular MOV-File ist this slow, and most time TMPGenc crashes when I trie to convert. Could that be because this MOV-File uses VP3-Compression?

  4. It is possible, especialy if it's a newer format, what you can do is, use QuickTime Pro to export the movie into AVI and then encode it with TMPG.

  5. I don`t have QTPro, but I used RADTools to convert the MOV-File to AVI. The I converted the AVI-File to MPEG using TMPGEnc and it took only 1 hour.

    Thanx Sefy!
