    I have an older (1989 ) Canon Hi8 A1 camcorder. Every time I try to turn it on the display flashes" Batt" and then it turns off. I have replaced the internal battery with the same results..any ideas? It is the same with either a battery pack inserted or the AC adapter.

    There's a capasitor that goes bad in it
