  1. Alright, this is probably a dumb question, but it is extremely urgent. I need to know in order to get something finished tonight. So, I hope someone is able to help me.

I have a movie that I need to edit, just to get a short clip from it, but the .mkv has two different audio tracks (one for english, one for japanese) that are easily switched between in any video player, but when I open Videopad to edit the video the audio is stuck on japanese and I can't figure how to get it to english. Though, now that I think of it, would both audio tracks carry over to a clip I make that can be switched between in a video player? If that makes any sense, I'm sorry it is almost four am for me. I need this done by six.

I know I'm expecting a lot, so I won't be offended if there is no one who can help me in time. I'll be totally screwed, but that's what I get for waiting until the last minute.

Use mkvextractGUI/mkvtoolnix to get the video and english audio track out of the mkv file, then use mkvmerge to put them into a new file. Should only take a couple of minutes to do.

Thank you so much! I didn't expect anyone to respond nearly that quickly, let alone someone who would actually give me directions I could sort of follow. It was a little hit and miss there for a bit due to me being a dummy, but I managed somehow, at least. Thanks, again!
