I've got a Divx file, apparently the audiostream is AC3 encoded.
Virtualdub reports the following for the audiostream:
Sampling Rate: 48000Hz
Channels: 5 (stereo)
Sample precision: 0-bit
Compression: Unknown (tag 2000)
Preload Skew: 24000 samples (0.50s)
I had difficulty hearing any audio until I installed WinDVD 3, now I can hear the audio OK.
The problem is I want to convert this file to SVCD to play in my DVD player.
I usually just grab the audiostream using virtualdub and then encode using TMPGenc.
Ideally I want to keep the surround audio, however at the moemnt I can't even convert to normal stereo. I've tried converting using virtualdub, but it just complains - stating "The requested audio compression is not compatible with the input format".
TMPGenc just ignores the DivX's audiostream and encodes just the video.
Anyone got any ideas?
:o :o :(
