Hi.., I got a minor confusion in the latest version of handbrake, if i want to convert a DVD movie to x264.mkv i choose high profile in preset & in output settings it shows: OUTPUT SETTINGSPreset High Profile), but after i load the movie and configure all settings, the output settings shows : OUTPUT SETTINGS
Preset Custom). My question is that why i get preset as custom in output settings even if i select high profile ?.. is that a problem or is custom & high profile are same..? please advice me if you got any knowledge regarding this subject.. Thanks in advance...

Try selecting the preset after loading the video.
Still, I often need to correct settings after loading a preset.Recommends: Kiva.org - Loans that change lives.

High Profile in Handbrake is simply a predetermined preset. If you change anything...it switches to custom.
For instance, said setting defaults to a mp4 container. If you switch the container format to mkv, you're already changing an aspect of the preset, thus, output changes to custom. What exactly is rotten in Denmark?
