I'm experiencing some serious quality problems when encoding VCDs
with TMPGEnc. LSX seems to encode MUCH better, but here's how I
use the programs:
1) Rip with smartripper
2) Use FlaskMPEG to downsample to VCD size and...
3) link with Avisynth to VirtualDub to add subtitles and...
4) link with Avisynth to TMPGEnc to encode.
Now, I would like to use some other encoder than TMPGEnc to convert to
VCD, but I can't figure out how to do. Any ideas? The program must be
able to open .vdr-files.

i believe most standalone encoders will work with the virtualdub frameserver. cce sp v2.62&up is the only one i can think of that will not, but there are even ways around this. panasonic seems to be a popular alternative to tmpgenc
