vcd to vhs

hiya
i am trying to record from a vcd disc to a vhs tape through my pacific 1000 dvd player and my video recorder without success. can this be done or am i wasting my time.

i have a alba 104 and kiiro 838d and it works fine using a scart lead.problem i encountered with alba was it wouldnt record ntsc vcd's to a vhs tape properly-on vhs playback tape jumped.but pal vcds were fine.so i got kiiro because it records ntsc vcds as pal on vhs.

im using scart leads but perhaps i have them connected up wrong i`ll try them in other ways and see what happens

Just curious; Why do you want to record from VCD to VHS?

i was curious as well. A m8 who has a collection of slightly adult vcd wants them on tape as i dont think he has a dvd player in his bedroom nudge nudge wink wink say no more eh
