I have a Hauppauge HVR-950Q USB TV Tuner (http://www.hauppauge.com/site/products/data_hvr950q.html) and I want to be able to play my blu-ray player using this TV Tuner. This TV tuner only has a coax input or composite input. Is it possible to convert my blu-ray player's component or HDMI output to coax so that I can use it with this TV tuner (an adapter that is relatively cheap), or do I need to get something like a Hauppauge HD PVR?
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

I just want to play blu-ray movies. I have no plans to record it or anything, just watch movies. I don't have a TV, just a TV tuner.

Why not just use a blu-ray drive for the computer and bypass the tv tuner? You're not tuning into any frequency, so why use a tuner at all? It doesn't make sense to take that route.

What are you trying to play? My Sony BD player won't play a Blu-Ray or DVD disc over any analog output. It will play Netflix or YouTube at standard def. Those will play 720p on the computer direct from the internet so the Blu-Ray player is fairly useless without an HDTV with HDCP.
