What do you mean by "TV" ?

    Hulu?
    NetFlix?
    Fancast?
    YouTube?

They all work well for me.

I have two Roku players, one is the 720p model, it's connected to the via wireless router, works perfect, I use it for the bedroom tv, add all the "channels" you want i.e. Netflix, Amazon VOD, and tons more. The other model is a newer Roku player in with 1080p connected via ethernet to the router. I have a 10 mbs dsl internet connection and both work flawlessly. There is about a 5 to 10 second wait time while a video loads and buffers but you can fast forward-reverse, pause etc. And they do play perfectly with great picture quality.

I also have a pc setup as a media server connected, and a Wii game console with internet connection via usb to ethernet adapter, which is great for youtube etc.

All of this depends on your isp providing a good uptime and bandwidth.
It's not important the problem be solved, only that the blame for the mistake is assigned correctly
