Is this the right Forum to ask questions about shooting video?
If not, can you direct to the correct place?
I'd like to hire a home-hobbyist or inexpensive videographer to shoot some reality short clips at a function.
If it requires no pre-planning, no directing and no post-production, just raw footage, is there videographer language I would use for this type of action? Is it a sound-bite? Or a unedited short clip? What would you call it in video terminology?

I don't think I am interested in "gain copyrights to an artist's work without buying anything else".
How did you jump to that conclusion? As I said I want to "hire" as in "buy". I'm not interested in doing anything unethical. I just want to use the right terminology and then enter into a legitimate transaction with someone with a camera.
