DVD players are rather unlikely to do it, even the ones that upscale. As for Blu-Ray players, I think the Playstation 3 may do it (I haven't tried it). There may be one or two others, as well.

You might also consider looking into players like the WDTV, as well. The WDTV itself doesn't use discs, so it doesn't play CDs, DVDs or BDs - but it'll play more formats than a DVD or BD player (such as MKV), and doesn't generally have the SD size limitations. (There are others, of course; I just don't remember their names, offhand. Well, I think there's the Popcorn Hour... )
If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them?

I second the media player recomendation. The WD TV Live can be got for around $240 from DSE at the moment. Designed for that with 2xUSB inputs, will do most formats, and will also play files over the network. Significantly cheaper than the Popcorn Hour last time I looked. I love mine.

Updated Seiki BD660 certified for High Def Divx and MKVs with Divx high Def h264 codec. Was $50CAD on sale at Wal-Mart a couple weeks back. Back to $78CAD now. Also plays hard drives with NTFS format (like the LG and Oppo) with updated firmware and is region changeable for DVDs and Blu Rays. Doesn't do streaming media though. Cheap alternative to media player...but only if you are in Canada it seems...

While looking for another item, I found a US listing for the Seiki BD660 on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/Seiki-Blu-Ray-Player-/320625482992?pt=DVD_Players_Recorders&hash=item4aa6c49cf0

Well, I see someone is trying to make a couple bucks on them. Probably bought a couple for $50 and flipping them. Great while you have stock. It's the new box but I would check to see if the new version of the player is inside as some people have reported that the old version of the player may be in the box (along with the old firmware).

The Soniq and the Philips 3000 and the Seiki BD660 are basically the same machine so all should play High Def Divx. That's why I like to stress that people making MKVs use the Divx High Definition profile using the h.264 codec as those should play perfectly. Other encodes might be hit or miss...

    New input.

I was Christmas shopping at Sam's and Costco warehouse stores this evening and while there I checked out the Blu-Ray players. The only player with the "DivX HD" logo was the Samsung BD-C5500C (Sam's price $119.86). It also had an "MKV HD" logo which was new to me.
