Hi,
I am trying to convert an .mkv to an AppleTV format (mov/mp4). The file had a whole bunch of subtitles which I removed with MKVTools. I then wanted to burn a separate .srt into the movie (this was a subtitle file for the non-English parts only). I was trying to do this with RoadMovie and the result was a .mov file which had my .srt burned into it but also some other subtitles on top of mine. MKVTools shows no other tracks other than the video and 5.1 sound. VLC however does show another track. I tried MKVToolNix to see if that could see the other track but it does not, so I'm mystified as to where this track is and why only VLC sees it.

It's playing the subs twice, perhaps? Once burned into the video and again an external SRT file. Move the SRT to a different folder and try again.

I am posting this for the benefit of those who in the future will search for Apple TV related topics and find this post.
Apple TV is crap! If you had a media player like the Western Digital or other similar players you wouldn't have to convert anything. And you wouldn't be limited to 720p either.
Sorry man, but the truth is not always kind.
