Hi All -
Sorry for starting a new thread on my first day here
I actually have 2 questions: I bought 2 sets of TVs and received 2 Bluray players for free. Samsung BD-c6800 and the bd-c5900. I am going to use a wired internet connection. Any reason for me to prefer the 6800 over the 5900?
Also, I see there's a region free hack for the c5900 and also the 6900 but nothing for the 6800. Anyone knows if the same hack works on it as well?
I really appreciate the help, trying to decide which one of these is going on eBay

I am not aware of ANY Samsung BluRay players sold in the USA and Canada that can be made region free for even just DVD playback. So sorry but I do not expect your hack to work at all.
Try the hack on the c5900 and report back if it works for you but I am sure it will fail. -
The hack didn't work, as expected. Researching a bit more, it seems like I need a hardware modification. Some stores are selling the unit already modified but it's really expensive. I tried a Google search and I couldn't find any place that does the hardware modification. Anyone knows of a DIY modification kit or something like that (or someone that does that in the NY/NJ area
)?
Thanks!
