I'm certain this question is asked frequently on here but I couldnt find anything searching the forums. In short, I'm trying to get the shows I have on my DVR (it had to be replaced but still works for the most part) off and put on a hard drive. Any way to do this?

If you mean break the encoding on the hard drive so you can transfer the content to a PC, the short answer is no. You can't do this for Dishnetwork either (at least for High Definition content). You might check Yahoo groups for that device or a DirectV forum to see what you CAN do...
