No start button on Smart Ripper

I just decided to burn a dvd to vcd so I got sefbys manual of this site followed all the instructions till it said click the start button. The start button has not appeared. Does anyone have any ideas?

Is ur player found? Supported?

is your ASPI layer good?

Is there a DVD in the drive?

Are you missing a setting?

this sounds silly but do you have enough hd space to rip the movie? when i try to rip a movie and i dont have enough space theres no start button.

the start button only appears after you have selected a set of vobs for smartripper to rip....if you choose "movie mode" then smartripper will automatically select the vobs to rip (99% of the time the vobs automatically selected is the movie files)

so if you are using "movie mode" you don't need to manually select the vob files to rip, smartripper should automatically do that.....once the vobs are selected, the start button will appear

it also helps if you specify a target filename

Surpisingly it turned out ot be hard disk space. Thanks for your help. My Vcd works fine :)
