  1. I have Googled it and found out how embedded it is in make machine/register. I have spent a lot of time reading and searching and found know way to get it all off my computer. (probably why my computer is running so slow)

After I get this AVG thing taken care of and if my computer is still running slow can someone tell me a good software at a reasonable price to download to straighten out my computer ? Or should I just take it and have it re-worked ? I have backed up all data that is important.

Also, is there away that I can delete my posts that you guys have helped me with or don't worry about them...

  4. If you truly wish to remove ALL parts of AVG then you might wish to refer here first: http://www.avg.com/ww-en/download-tools.

Just make sure you read the warning in the event it may apply:

    AVG Remover

AVG Remover eliminates all the parts of your AVG installation from your computer, including registry items, installation files, user files, etc. AVG Remover is the last option to be used in case the AVG uninstall / repair installation process has failed repeatedly.

    Warning

All AVG user settings will be removed after the uninstall process is complete, as well as content from the Virus Vault and all other items related to AVG installation and use. You will be asked during the removal procedure to restart your computer. Therefore, please make sure to finish your work and save all important data prior to launching AVG Remover.
I tend to subscribe to the philosophy of using a standalone removal utility from the developer before messing around with registry cleaners.

After running the standalone uninstaller see if things improve. If they don't then maybe use a registry cleaner.

I suggest the AVG remover (as Hemlock suggested); they know where all the installed files are and are best qualified to get it off your computer. I never was an AVG fan, too many problems through the years with them. Avira Free will give you all the protection you need and can be easily removed any time. If you want to clean out your register of any remaining footprints, Hoverdesk Regseeker 1.55 (free) has a word-search option for the register and will find any AVG remaining entries.

  8. Hey Guys, thanks for all of your help..... I keep getting a : "Error Loading: C:\Program File\Common Files\ParetoLogic\UUS2\UUS.dll" and is there something to fix this error ?

Also, my computer runs alright but my browser takes along time to open, but what could be the reason I can not do a System Restore ?

Yep, totally different. I'd say do a repair or reinstall the Paretologic software or...

    http://www.utilitysoftwarereviews.com/how-to-remove-paretologic-uusdll-error-message/

Regardless, it would seem the program install was damaged somehow.

Thanks Guys, How does so many Scheduled Tasks get in there ? Does it happen when I install a program and automatically add a Task, because I haven't Scheduled any Tasks and have 13 besides the Paretologic one that I deleted... Should I leave the 13 in there alone ? Some say, as far as started NEVER and some couldn't start. I wasn't about to delete anymore unless it would be SAFE too..

That depends on what they are. If you can't figure out where they came from it may be that you have been hacked. If you are using the free AVG it is quite likely that you have a virus.

There are a lot of reasons your computer could be running slow. If the reason you want to get rid of AVG is that you have already installed some other AV program then that is a great way to make a computer into a boat anchor. If things are messy enough then it may be time for a reinstall.

Several people mentioned Revo Uninstaller. Its good and it helped me get rid of a nasty recently that got right past BitDefender. BitDefender now blocks that nasty. However I can't figure out how to use it with AV software because it doesn't seem to be handle programs that need a reboot to uninstall. Maybe I missed something there.

Most AV software comes out better than they used to. Make sure you reboot first before trying to uninstall any programs that is as invasive as AV software. Nero or Roxio for instance. That improves your odds.

1.download and run SuperAntiSpyware Portable...make sure you download the updates before you start scanning

2.run revo uninstaller and get rid of that reg software you have installed casuing the problems...it's junk

3.uninstall that avg and use avast instead

4.download and install ccleaner..run the cleanup and registry cleanup

  14. Like Nero, some of the DVD burning software that I was told to try and was good also needs a shrink software. I have always used DVD Shrink and I was told it is outdated and doesn't work on some of the present DVD Backups. Can someone direct me to a more updated shrink software like DVD Shrink ?

I have read and studied until I'm nearly blind. I installed dvdfab and it didn't shrink so that it would fit on my backup. I know that it is me and I didn't have the settings right. I down loaded the DVDFab8 which I realized after it was the entire trial program. I went back and downloaded the Free DVD Decrypter. How long does it take you to run the full process of backing up a DVD movie ?

I know this doesn't have anything to do with AVG and thanks to you guy I got that Bear off of my machine. That being said, should I start a new thread ?
