When I try to cut out a piece of this xvid video I have, keyframe to keyframe, the resulting video turns out to be all gray with some weird pixelation on the top. After that, I cannot seek in Virtualdub anymore and reloading does not work. I have to manually open the file again. This happens in both direct stream copy and in full processing picking a random codec just to see what happens. The video itself works fine with K-lite codec pack and with VLC player. I think I can just load it with avisynth and cut from there, but that requires encoding the video. What could be causing this problem and can I get past it without re-encoding?
