  1. Hey guys.

was just wondering i have been using diko for a week or two now and converting alot of avi's to .mpv files and extracting the audio.
and the quality comes out pretty good , but my question is would it be better to encode to dvd9 and then compress with the maximum smoothness setting in dvdshrink to make it dvd5.

    would that give better quality?

    thanks!

No. You'll get your best results by encoding to the right size the first time.

And most people around here wouldn't use Diko for an AVI to DVD conversion. Maybe try AVS2DVD.

  3. Ah , i only use it for making dvds with 3 films on it , so i hear its best for that. I do usually stick to vso convertxtodvd if its one avi to dvd

    thanks mate
