I just successfully burned my first SVCD which is so much better quality than the VCD's I burned earlier this week. However, I want to try get even better on the video portion. Any suggestions on a bit rate that creates perfect video?
Regards....

What is perfect for one person isn't perfect for another.
SVCD is defined as having a video bitrate anything up to 2.600kb/s which gives good results. If you go higher its not a SVCD anymore but a XSVCD which can cause your standalone DVD player to strike. Some players will accept up to 3.500kb/s others even slightly higher. The best thing to do is test what you personally find as perfect - and of course what your player will take. You'll notice the player starting to strike when the picture hangs, but the audio keeps going...
