When updating (the free version of) DVDFab, is it best to uninstall first, before installing the new version?
Or can you just install the new version over the old version without any problems?
Their site says "DVDFab will check for a new versions automatically, but you must perform the update manually." and I wasn't sure if that meant to uninstall first.
The only time I seem get a prompted to update, is whilst DVDFab is reading a DVD in the drive. It doesn't seem right trying to update the program whilst it is reading a DVD so I haven't tried following the prompts.
Many thanks for any replies.

It sounds like the update function is working correctly - but at an inconvenient time.
Try starting DVDFab without a disc in the drive, allow it to check for updates before you proceed (you'll get a popup).
You don't have to uninstall the program, it installs over the old one - but will require or force a restart of DVDFab.;/ l ,[____], Its a Jeep thing,

Thanks for the reply classfour, I will try without a DVD and see if I get the update popup.
