Hi,
I am trying to convert ASF files to MPG files, using TMPGEnc. The problem is however, that it shows about 100 - 200+ hours remaining. Is this normal ? I have never sucessfully encoded an entire file due to this.
I have a PIII 1Ghz, and can't believe it could take so long. Is there a setting I am missing ?
I am loading the default VCD template for conversion settings.
Please help, or advise on a better way to this.
Cheers
Donovan

well 1 very important thing lacking in your question is the lengh of the asf
but generally speaking i'd say something is not quite right as when i do it it has never taen more than 4 or 5 times the lengh of the video. (and my processor is not as powerfull) -
The ASF files are all full movie length (100mins approx).
It just seems rediculous, because it takes 10 mins to process 15 frames.
I am using TMPGEnc ver2.02.31.119 under Win2000 Pro.
AVI files are converted with no problems and in a decent amount of time.
Please help.
Cheers
