I encoded an DivX into SVCD using TMPGenc 12h. I used the NTSC SVCD template which gives a Constant Bit Rate coding, then I realized the files I got did'nt fit on CDs So I had to chopand merge two SVCD files into three... and I used the MPEG tools in TMPGenc. 12h are supporting MPEG-2 I have heared.

In MPEG tools there are nor MPEG-2 CBR to choose from, only MPEG-2 VBR, and Program... so I chosed VBR...

Then time to turn, Nero did'nt complain... but my DVD player said it could'tn play disc... WHY? It's a samsung 611 which i played a Selfmade SVDC (made with TMPGenc) the other day... the only difference this time was that I used the MPEG tools in TMPGenc...

    1. Did something weird happen when i chosed VBR on CBR file during the cut/merge?

    2. What should I have chosed instead?

    3. Are there better cutters for MPEG-2 files then TMPGenc?

    4. What should I use for a SVCD, CBR or VBR?

    Thanx/

No, since the only to choices I have with MPEG-2 is

    MPEG-2 Program (VBR)
    MPEG-2 Super VideoCD (VBR)

    I was hoping I would have a MPEG-2 Standard or something but I don't.

    So the problem remains!
    Thanx/
