    For some reason my HV30 is not registered in my mac after I tryed to connect it to another computer. I notice that in the camera menu that DV output is grey when I put the firewire cable in. Is there something in the camera menu that can be set so the computer does not see it when I try to capture ?

    Are you trying to cap DV or HDV?

    I went through DV settings here
