digital out of tv is optical,
Panasonic "Viera" TC-32LX24 (has optical digital out only)
and I want to hook it up to this surround-sound capable amp:
Optimus 31-3035 (has surround sound via phono jacks)
Manual here:

I have found converters to STEREO, but nothing that allows the surround-sound capabilities of both units. The TV manufacturer's video instructions on this only cover optical to optical and optical to phono jacks on amp in stereo. Is this possible to do?
