  1. I have from ElGato turbo.264 HD

    Ive begun experimenting with it to transfer files to an iPad etc

    Ive noticed that some files were encoded with Sorenson Squeeze 5.0, and in the 'transformation' using T264 the output .mov has a green screen and wont play with QT re the video component.

    and iMedia no longer says Sorenson Squeeze 5.0 in its text file report on the .mov

    file initial:

    General / Container Stream # 1
    Total Video Streams for this File -> 1
    Total Audio Streams for this File -> 1
    Video Codecs Used -> AVC
    Audio Codecs Used -> AAC LC
    File Format -> MPEG-4
    Play Time -> 10mn 55s
    Total File Size -> 284 MiB
    Total Stream BitRate -> 3 633 Kbps
    Encoded with -> Sorenson Squeeze 5.0

    file result:

    General / Container Stream # 1
    Total Video Streams for this File -> 1
    Total Audio Streams for this File -> 1
    Video Codecs Used -> AVC
    Audio Codecs Used -> AAC LC
    File Format -> MPEG-4
    Play Time -> 1h 19mn
    Total File Size -> 4.75 GiB
    Total Stream BitRate -> 8 592 Kbps

    of note that the second is larger as its been combined

    Video.lan VLC player plays the output fine

    is there a plug in for QT that can solve this problem or another way to convert?

    many thanks!

    SS 5 play fine in the original, but the converted file from Turbo does not.

    any further ideas?

    This might be worth a support email to ElGato if you paid for the software/ extra hardware. It seems, though, that you are simply merging files. If that is the case, there is no need to re-encode. You could merge the files free with MPEG Streamclip, or use Quicktime Pro if you have it.

  4. not quite but I thank you for your reply

    I need to pass the items through Turbo to merge them.

    cant way why

    but even one file gets that green screen that does something to SS5 that only makes it play with VLC

    this isnt that important to me now, as I do not have an iPad (yet !) but when I get V2 Id like to make sure stuff is Potable!
