  1. I have made a video with Win7 MovieMaker wmv hoping it would be the most playable on an assortment of computers. I just found that it will not play on a customers old XP MediaPlayer 9 computer. The wmv shows up as a very low contrast lime green image that is not useable. I cannot install anything on the customer computer and I am hundreds of miles from home.
Did MS change the wmv format such that the new format is incompatable with the old v9 codec or is something else possibly set wrong on the customer computer?
If the new codec is incompatble with the old and is there a way to install the old one on my computer at home to create a playable wmv for the customer?

    Thank You.

have them play it with something else like vlc. or don't make wmv, try mpeg-2 or mpeg-4 instead.
