  1. Region Unlocking Bluray and DVD
    1. Turn the Blu-Ray on and open the Tray Door

    2. Then press the following number combination on the remote “9113“
This will bring up a screen which will allow you to change the region.

    3. You have the choice of entering a region code for both Blu-Ray and DVD. I recommend you only change the code for the Blu-Ray component and leave the DVD box empty.
You will need to scroll to the second box and enter either “1“ “2“ or “3“ depending on the region you wish to use.

    4. Save the settings by pressing OK and you should be able to watch discs from your selected region.

Sounds like bullsh!t to me.....especially since Blu Ray "regions" are not numbers.

Assuming it's true, then it would be quite user friendly to use "1" for "A", "2" for "B" and "3" for "C", as remotes do have numerical keys and generally not alphabet keys.

  4. This Onida Bluray player is an exact replica of the Kogan Region free Blu-ray player sold in Australia. Let heck54 know this first. I am posting the hack after confirming on my own.

The Kogan looks like the Curtis DVD 1102 so if the Onida is a clone of those units then the region change will work. Check the review of the Kogan here:

I for one seldom believe 1st time posters....posting hacks about a completely unknown player....that are completely unprovable....who feel the need to send me private messages in an attempt to defend themselves.

  7. heck54 don't think that you know everything. I sent the private message because of your 'Bullshit' message. Onida is a leading consumer brand in India.
