    I have used TMPGenc plus many many times in the past to convert video files to dvd format, but last week i had to rebbot my computer and hence re-install TMPGenc plus, and now i cant load a AVI(xvid) file into it. I have done a few searchs on the net and found some settings to change in the program, but the video file will not go into it successfully.....Can anyone help me out, the file i want to convert is playable in WMP11 and is described as an AVI xvid file.

    I have used avicodec to obtain any more info and it comes up with this, XVIDmp4. is this why tmpgenc wont play it. and if so how can i sort it.

    it says video is unsupported

    try installing xvid or ffdshow
