  1. Hello Everyone. I hope someone can help me with this. I am trying to get video onto some video goggles for work and nothing I tried worked. I finally stumbled across FFMPGX and it seems the most promising. Believe it or not, Sorenson Squeeze isn't cutting it!! Anyway, whatever movie I bring into ffmpgx (be it .mov, .wmv, .avi, .mpg) they all come up as no video and no audio (pictured below). I am fully aware I could be doing something wrong. PLease help. Here are my specs:

    Computer: MacPro
    OS: OSX 10.5.8
    Processor: 2 X 2.66 Intel Xeon
    Memory 4GB 667 Mhz DDR2

Just some more about what I'm trying to achieve...

I received an avi file from the manufacturers of said goggles and I've tried matching the specs, which is why I found FFmpgX. When I pull up the info for the video that works, here's the format:

    Format:
    DivX 6.0, 352 × 240 (427 × 240), Millions
MPEG Layer 3, Stereo, 22.050 kHz
    FPS: 23.97
    Data Rate: 1015.82 kbits/s
    Current Size: 352 x 240 pixels (Actual)

Please, any and all help would be tremendously appreciated!

    Thanks!

1/ You seem to be using ffmpegX 0.0.9x, which is not the latest version.
2/ ffmpegX 0.0.9y included some fixes for Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard compatibility.
3/ Videohelp.com has a forum section for ffmpegX: link. Maybe a moderator can move this thread to there?
4/ Did you install the three support binaries (mpeg2enc, mencoder, mplayer)? For some movie files, ffmpegX uses mplayer to recognize the format specs. For other formats, it uses build-in ffmpeg.

Ok, so the update (which I thought I had the latest...) worked as far as being able to read the source file, but still not capturing audio. How could I bring this to a moderators attention so they can move it to the ffmpegX section?
I did install the 3 support binaries prior to posting the original thread. This is driving me bonkers!

    Thanks!

After a conversion attempt, you may click the blue "i" in the ffmpegX Progress window to access the Process Information log. This log keeps track of what the app was trying to do. It may help diagnose the issue with your audio. Please copy and paste that info here.
