  1. What is the best (easiest) way to reduce a DVD movie so it can fit onto a DVD-R??? Example, a move that is 4.7GB in size and I want to edit parts out of it so it will fit.

  2. first off a movie thats 4.7g doesn't need to be reduced (it should fit just fine) second off you could try using a vbr to reduce size without cutting. I don't think there is a best way to edit a movie so that it'll fit. But there are several software's to do editing, i like premiere some ppl prefer ulead media studio or some such....

  3. ifoedit ... strip out an extra audio stream or subtitles ... that will normly shave off a few 100 MB's .... a bit more work if your orginal dvd is 5G +
