That is what I have on two edit workstations for HD editing.
When editing SD DV format I like to use an interlace CRT Monitor (Sony PVM) connected to monitor the (FC/Premiere/Vegas) timeline via IEEE-1394 and Canopus ADVC. You can quickly see field reversals that will get a project rejected.
If editing for SD NTSC broadcast, I also use a cheap Advent TV set (no comb filter) to watch for buzzing colors. NTSC has a restricted color range. This is similar to music recording studios having a set of car speakers to see how the mix sounds on AM radio.
