  1. First of all sorry if I have posted this in the wrong place.

I just have one question. I just burnt a dvd using avstodvd program. During the 3 hours there was no problem, but when it got to 95% of the whole process an error came up and the whole process got aborted . This was after Imgburn had burned, verified and ejected the tray. Now when I play the dvd the images/video content seems to work great, however the audio is messed up. They sound like chipmunks.

The files were in .mkv format if that helps.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

MrC, the author, regularly visits this forum, so you should get a reply from him soon.
In the meantime you should post the log file created during the run, it normally gets stored in the output folder.

  3. Just converted the files to wmv format and then tried burning again.

This time the sound is fine but isn't in synch with the images although they don't sound like chipmunks anymore.

Also I think I figured why the process aborted message came up, it was because when Imgburn was burning the dvd I checked the verify box and eject disc after comepletion box. Therefore the dvd was ejected and avstodvd program showed process aborted message.
Meaning the dvd was burned and verified so the audio/sound problem isn't linked to the process aborted message on avstodvd?
I suppose maybe I should try a different format? I was going to use avi originally but last time I did that it didn't play on normal dvd players but did on a friends dvd player (maybe cause it was DiVx certified?).

AVStoDVD can turn anything into compliant mpeg-2 DVD.

Not sure what you mean when you talk about a different format. Either you're creating a compliant DVD or you're not.
Copying AVI/DIVX files as data, as you say, works on some players but not others.

    1. Please post the AVStoDVD project .log file, as dave already has suggested.
    2. The error msg after burning is due to the fact that AVStoDVD try to read if there are the DVD files (ifos and vobs) on the DVD. If you toggle on 'eject after burn', no DVD is there to be read...
    3. Very often audio encoding errors are due to bad (or badly configured) codecs. Be sure you have Haali Media Splitter and ffdshow installed, and eventually check your directshow decoding chain with GraphEdit.

  6. Hi there,

I'm having a similar problem, although i haven't tried any other formats yet, i have both haali media splitter and ffdshow installed but the sound is still like chipmunks plus theres a hissing sound also.

Not sure what i'm doing wrong but mines is also in mkv format and the sound works fine on my computer, not sure why it happens on the dvd.

I have my log at the attempt, should i post it here or would that be hijacking someone elses thread?

P.S. im also using avstodvd prog.
