I'm trying to render to AC3 with Vegas Pro 9e but it's telling me I need DVD Architect installed, which I do have. I tried un-installing and re-installing and that doesn't work.
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

I just tried it with an MP3 and it works fine. I DO NOT have DVD Architect installed. Also using 9.0e.

I can't render anything to AC3. I am working with PCM WAV files in my project I need to render.
The AC3 Studio basic template works but AC3 Pro whether I try to customize or not gives me the error. -
I didn't try the pro, hang on.
EDIT: Yep, same message, need to install DVDA AND register.
I don't even use DVD's anymore, so I can't help much.Last edited by budwzr; 24th Nov 2010 at 01:28.

In order to output Pro AC3 from Vegas you must have a license that is separate to the initial Vegas license. This can either be purchased as an AC3 license, or comes included with DVD Architect. Hence installing DVDA (and registering it) should solve the problem.
There is an AC3 Studio option, which has little or no customisation and allows for stereo output only (at least this is the case in Vegas 8 Pro). This should work without DVDA.Read my blog here.
